Laughing Coyote Woodworks is a small woodworking business nestled in the charming Green Mountains of southwestern Vermont. Our journey began in 1991 with a focus on crafting handmade wooden furniture, clocks, and accessories inspired by the Mission, Shaker, and Arts and Crafts styles. Our mission is to create unique, sustainable, and durable pieces that blend traditional woodworking techniques with modern eco-friendly materials.

Meet Our Team

At Laughing Coyote Woodworks, we are proud of our two-person team dedicated to bringing your woodworking visions to life. Our master furniture maker, Roy Gibson, learned the craft from his father, who taught him the value of working diligently with wood and creating handcrafted furniture and accessories.

Patti Exster manages the website, bookkeeping, customer correspondence, and assists with production. Together, Roy and Patti form a dynamic duo, ensuring that every item is handmade and hand-finished using time-honored woodworking methods while considering the environment's sustainability.

Our creations are made with environmentally responsible materials like sustainably harvested woods, salvaged materials, and vegetable oils and shellac for finishes. We not only create our own designs but are also enthusiastic about constructing bespoke pieces. If you can imagine it, we can build it!
