Dr. Sanford completed a General Practice Residency at Irwin Army Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas, and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery at Georgetown University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Norwich University. He has undergone extensive training and has been certified to practice a wide array of dental procedures. Laser Dentistry Services

In addition to his current laser-assisted therapy for restorative (fillings), periodontics (gum and bone surgery), and endodontic (root canal) treatments, Dr. Sanford now offers NIGHTLASE, SMOOTHLASE, LIPLASE, and PIPS Laser treatments. These treatments use the Fotona Lightwalker Er:YAG Laser to tighten and elevate the uvula, soft palate, and surrounding tissues to reduce snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, rejuvenate, define, plump, and increase volume of the lips, treat and prevent facial wrinkles formation with the addition of new collagen, and ultra-clean root canals of teeth prior finishing root canal treatment. These procedures do not require anesthesia, needles, or pre-op or post-op pain.

Dr. Sanford had the opportunity to train with Dr. Harvey Schiffman and Dr. Mark Colonna, whose protocols and clinical therapy initiated these treatments. He is a fellow of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, has achieved advanced proficiency certification using the Yag Laser, and is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

As a former Captain of the United States Army Dental Corps, Dr. Sanford proudly volunteers through veterans' service organizations like The American Legion.
