Davis Community Church Nursery School

At DCCNS Cooperative Preschool, we have been dedicated to fostering social-emotional and academic development through a child-led play-based curriculum since 1973. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where children can discover, experience, and master new skills while encouraging healthy relationships, independence, problem-solving, self-discipline, and respect for others. We believe that play is a child's work, and our experienced teachers are committed to creating a positive learning experience for both children and adults.

Our Philosophy

We are a non-profit, parent-cooperative preschool staffed by certified early childhood educators. Our programs are designed for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years, offering multi-age classes that promote social interaction and learning through play. We are licensed by the California State Department of Social Services and follow its regulations, ensuring a safe and educational environment for all students. Our main goals are to nurture children, foster age-appropriate social skills, and build self-esteem and self-confidence.

DCCNS offers a range of programs tailored to meet the needs of children at different ages and developmental stages. From our youngest learners to our older students, we provide a continuum of play-based education that is both engaging and educational. Our teachers are dedicated to creating a planned, developmentally appropriate curriculum that includes various play environments and continuous social experiences.
