Our History

Our story began in 1985 when life-long Marin County resident Benjamen Ruggles started in the business of painting and construction. In 1987, Ben was hired to work as a foreman for California's largest wood restoration company, where he specialized in natural wood restoration of cedar and redwood shake roofs, siding, and decks, as well as house painting for both commercial and residential properties. In 1997, Ben formed a partnership painting company with his former boss, which he ran until mid-2008. After 28 years of working together with his partner, Ben decided it was time to move on and started All Exterior Painting and Wood Restoration.

Today, Ben enjoys full control of all aspects of the business, and he is committed to providing the highest quality work for every client on every job. With his extensive experience and dedication to excellence, Ben is the perfect partner for maintaining your home.
