Merlin's Pest Control is a family-owned and operated pest control company located in the Greater Cincinnati area. We specialize in providing pest control and extermination services to a wide variety of pests including bed bugs, termites, cockroaches, ants, mice, stinging insects, fleas, and more.

With over 15 years of experience serving Ohio and Southeast Indiana, we have earned an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and have been accredited since 2005. We are also rated 4.5 out of 5 stars on Google, demonstrating our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers. Our company was founded by David R. "Big Dave" Hoffman, Senior, in 2004. Initially, the business was operated out of his garage with a 1987 Chevrolet Astro van as the original service vehicle. Over time, the company has grown and expanded, and we are now located in a larger facility in Fairfield, Ohio.

In 2007, Big Dave was joined by his son, David Junior, who brought his experience in the computer field to the company. This addition allowed us to acquire our first workstation computer, followed by a server, and ultimately led to Merlin's Pest Control coming online.

We are proud to be a family-owned and operated small business, delivering hometown service in a big-time city. Our commitment to providing top-notch service, using the most updated protocols, ensures that our customers receive the best possible outcomes. Many of our customers have been with us since the early days, and we are grateful for their continued support.

As past members of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Joint Bed Bug Task Force, we have worked with local and state representatives, universities, and the Hamilton County Board of Health. We also perform in-house R&D to stay current with the latest developments in pest control.

Preparation for Treatment

Before any treatment begins, there are several steps you must take to prepare. These include:

• General Prep: No one may be home or on site during the treatment and at least four hours after the treatment. This includes pets, so please keep them out of the house for four hours. Cover aquariums and air pumps with a blanket.

• Bed Bug Prep: Do not sleep on mattresses without sheets after treatment for at least 90 days. Launder your sheets and pillows every week until the pests have been taken care of. Do not pile belongings into a mountain; we need plenty of room to maneuver furniture around. Make sure all baseboards are accessible because they will all be treated. Let us know if you plan to use any pesticides after our treatment, as we do not want your pesticide to interfere with ours. Please ask for suggestions as we have many alternatives that won't interfere. Vacuum all areas thoroughly.
