Our journey began with our founder, Matt Hunt, who started his career as a carpenter and worked his way up to become a licensed general contractor. His passion for building and dedication to his craft led him to establish Hunt Custom Construction. Over the years, we've grown into a team of skilled professionals who share Matt's passion for building and restoring properties.

• General Contractor Services: We offer pre-construction services, new home construction, home remodels and additions, commercial space construction, restaurant and retail space construction, and project management and supervision.
• Design & Engineering Services: Our team can provide design, planning, and architectural services, as well as engineering services to ensure that your project meets all necessary building codes and regulations.

In addition to these services, we're also licensed as a Certified Hazardous Material Removal Contractor and a Licensed General Engineering "A" Contractor. This means we can handle all grading projects, hillside repairs, drilling, underground public utilities, and seawall repairs.

Our Team

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about building and restoring properties. Each member of our team brings their unique skills and experiences to the table, ensuring that every project we undertake is completed with the highest level of quality and professionalism.

• Matt Hunt: Our founder and licensed general contractor, Matt has been in the construction industry for years. He has a degree in Economics and has worked alongside accomplished builders, architects, and engineers in Southern California.
• Ron Westfall: A California native, Ron became involved in the construction industry in high school. He has worked in various aspects of the industry, including electrical contracting and salon design.
• Will Fairbanks: An MBA graduate and experienced builder resource, Will has joined our team to provide valuable business insight and help oversee current construction projects with a specialty in window and door procurement and installation.
• Aaron: Our superintendent, Aaron, has been with us for years and has played a crucial role in overseeing our construction projects.
• Ivan Grajeda: Also a superintendent, Ivan has been an integral part of our team, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards.

Rebuilding Malibu

At Hunt Custom Construction, we're proud to serve the beautiful state of California, including the iconic Malibu area. We've worked on many historical properties in the area, including the Adamson House, White Oak Farm, Will Rogers Property, the Malibu Pier, Leo Carrillo Campground, Sycamore Cove, and the Sepulveda Adobe. Many of these locations are on the National Register of Historic Places, and we take great pride in helping protect, restore, and preserve our local Malibu history.
