Welcome to Waves Hawaii Surf School & Maui Stand Up Paddle School, the only Billabong Surf and Stand Up Paddle School in all of Maui! Our surf school is proud to provide an exclusive, personalized experience for surfing in Maui. We are the smallest, most private surf school in Kihei and Wailea, and we are dedicated to maintaining a tight-knit community of surfers and ocean lovers. At Waves Hawaii Surf School, we handpick our instructors who are trained in the highest level of surf instruction, safety, CPR, and First Aid. At our surf school in Maui and standup paddle school in Maui, we offer a variety of surfing lessons, surf camps, surf safaris, and standup paddle tours that cater to your specific needs and interests.

Surfing Lessons in Maui

At Waves Hawaii Surf School, we offer a Stand-up Paddle and Surf Combo, as well as a Wailea Stand up Paddle Tour at Polo Beach in Wailea daily at 8 am. During these tours, you can paddle with turtles and whales (in season) along the stunning Wailea coastline.

For beginner surfers, we offer a variety of surfing lessons in Maui that cater to your specific skill level and interests. Our beginner Maui surf lessons take place at Kalama Park, where the waves are gentle and shallow, making it the perfect location for your first Maui surf lesson. We offer group classes, semi-private classes, and private 1 on 1 classes, as well as a 3-day surf camp/surf progression at Kalama Park. If you're looking to improve your skills and surf with others, our intermediate Maui surf lessons offer a wide variety of surf safaris and surf with a local options that are tailored just for you.

Safety and Equipment

At Waves Hawaii Surf School, we prioritize safety above all else. Our instructors are highly trained in surf instruction, safety, CPR, and First Aid. We provide all the necessary surf lesson equipment, including boards, reef shoes, and rash guards, to ensure that your Maui surf lesson experience is safe, fun, and unforgettable.
