At Laurens Academy, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment that allows every student to reach their highest potential - academically, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. Our mission is to educate the whole child, and we strive to achieve this by providing a well-rounded education that prepares our students for success in all areas of life.

Our History

Laurens Academy was established in 1994 with a vision to provide a local alternative to the traditional educational options in Laurens County. Despite facing challenges, including a devastating fire that destroyed our middle school and library building in 1996/97, we persevered and continued to grow. Today, we are proud to offer a comprehensive education from Kindergarten to 12th grade, with a focus on college preparation and character development.

Our Values

At Laurens Academy, we are guided by a set of core values that we believe are essential for our students to develop into well-rounded individuals. These values include Prayer, Community Service, Integrity, Discipline, Achievement, Patriotism, Lifelong Learning, Sportsmanship, Pursuit of Excellence, Work Ethic, Respect, Honesty, Family, Appreciation, and Compassion. We strive to instill these values in our students through our teaching, coaching, and example.

Our Objectives

Our general objectives are designed to help our students develop into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals. These objectives include Time and Space Organization, Self-Esteem, Independent Study and Research, Effective Communication Skills, Critical Thinking, Christian Relationships, Values, and Cultural Literacy. We believe that by achieving these objectives, our students will be well-equipped to succeed in all areas of life.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to support our students' academic and personal growth. These include a comprehensive curriculum, extracurricular activities, chapel services, and character development programs. We also provide resources and support for our international students through our International Program. Our Afterschool Program provides a safe and engaging environment for our students after school hours.
