Exceeding Expectations, One Delivery at a Time
The Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District (CVSWMD) is a public entity dedicated to providing waste management services to its member towns. Our mission is to protect the environment and public health by managing waste in a responsible and sustainable manner. We strive to educate and engage the community in waste reduction, recycling, and proper disposal practices.
Our services include household hazardous waste collections, recycling programs, composting services, and waste disposal facilities. We also offer assistance to businesses, organizations, and landlords for their waste management needs. Additionally, we provide resources and support for schools and community initiatives focused on waste reduction and sustainability.
The CVSWMD operates the Additional Recyclables Collection Center (ARCC), which accepts a variety of recyclables and organics. We also manage the Eco Depot, a facility that will soon offer year-round household hazardous waste collection. Our staff and board of directors work tirelessly to ensure that our services are effective and beneficial to the community.
