At our Orlando-based practice, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality eye care in a relaxed and caring environment. Our staff, led by Dr. Dennis M. Wagner, is committed to ensuring that every patient receives the best possible service and care. We use the latest instrumentation and technology to ensure that our patients receive the most accurate and effective treatment available.

Our Services

Our practice offers a wide range of services to meet all of your eye care needs. We provide annual eye exams and contact lens exams, as well as contact lens fittings for all types. Dr. Wagner also provides specialized services such as children's vision, glaucoma testing, and ocular photography. Our facilities are equipped with the latest technology, including an ocular camera and topographer, to ensure that we can provide the most comprehensive care possible.

Payment Policy

We understand that navigating insurance and payment options can be confusing, so we strive to make our payment policy as clear and straightforward as possible. We accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards. Full payment is due at the time of service. For patients with insurance, all co-payments, co-insurance, and non-covered charges are due at the time of service. We accept a variety of insurance providers, including Vision Service Plan (VSP), Humana Vision, Spectera, Superior Vision, Government Issued Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Healthcare. Please note that we do not participate with HMOs.

About Dr. Wagner

Dr. Dennis M. Wagner was born and raised in Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1976 and the Pacific University College of Optometry in 1980. He was commissioned in the US Navy and served as a staff optometrist in the Ophthalmology Clinic for the Naval Hospital, Orlando, before entering private practice in 1985 in Orlando. Dr. Wagner has been recognized as one of the top Orlando optometry practices by Opencare.com. His wife, Elaine, works in the office, and they have two sons.

Office Location

Our office is conveniently located upstairs in the office suites next to the Wawa off Curry Ford Road. We ask that patients respect our time by arriving early and calling 24 hours in advance if they cannot keep their appointment.

Holiday Hours and New Location

Please note that our office will be closing in December 2023. Dr. Wagner will be joining Winter Park Vision Specialists in January 2024. The new location is at 1935 Hwy 436 in Winter Park, two blocks north of Aloma. The stand-alone building is on the left side going north, just after the Chesterton Academy, and features a dark blue sign out front.

Insurance and Scheduling

Most insurances will not change, and we will continue with VSP and Medicare, as well as most others. We have discontinued Davis Vision. Dr. Wagner will have a limited schedule at first as the new practice adjusts their staffing. We anticipate a 2-3 day/week scheduling after the adjustment. WPVS has a full line of designer frames in all price ranges. Additional testing capability includes fundus photos, dry eye therapy, and macular laser scanning.
