Zemskov Dance Academy was founded on the belief that classical ballet provides the foundation for all dance forms. With a commitment to quality instruction rooted in the Russian Vaganova method, we offer comprehensive training for students aged 3 and up. Our artistic director, Dmitry Zemskov, brings decades of professional experience as a Bolshoi Ballet Academy graduate and former dancer with prestigious companies including the Imperial Russian Ballet. We emphasize technical excellence while ensuring dance remains physically safe and enjoyable for all students. Our facility features two fully equipped studios totaling 2,240 square feet, offering classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary, and acro/tumbling.Through private lessons and structured class levels from beginner to advanced, we cultivate technical proficiency and artistic expression. The academy also hosts international dance festivals and provides studio rentals for rehearsals and performances. Our teaching philosophy combines rigorous training with creative exploration, preparing students for diverse dance opportunities while maintaining a passion for the art form.

Ballet
Our ballet program follows the rigorous Vaganova method, offering levels from beginner to advanced. Students develop proper technique through barre work, center practice, and complex combinations. The curriculum emphasizes posture, turnout, and classical repertoire while preparing dancers for professional opportunities. Classes require 1-6 years of experience depending on level.
Pointe
Specialized pointe training focuses on proper alignment, strength development, and injury prevention. Classes incorporate pre-pointe preparation with gradual progression to toe work. Students learn classical variations while maintaining technical precision. Placement requires instructor approval and minimum 3 years ballet experience.
Acro/Tumbling
This class develops balance, flexibility, and tumbling skills including cartwheels, handstands, and backbends. Students build strength for advanced techniques like handsprings while learning safe spotting methods. The program accepts children aged 4 and up with no prior experience required.
Private Lessons
One-on-one instruction provides customized training in any dance style. Sessions focus on individual technique refinement, competition preparation, or role-specific choreography. Private lessons complement group classes with personalized attention from our faculty.
Studio Rentals
Our two professional studios feature sprung floors, full-length mirrors, and ballet bars. Each space includes climate control and natural lighting. The 1,000 sq ft studio rents for $30/hour, ideal for rehearsals, private instruction, or small performances.

Artistic Director
Graduate of Moscow's Bolshoi Ballet Academy with professional experience in major international companies. Recipient of special prizes at international ballet competitions and holder of a BFA in choreography. Teaches classical ballet and partnering techniques with over 25 years of instructional experience.
