Our organization was established by 31 charter members who recognized the need for a unified voice for open-shop electrical contractors and a reliable training pipeline for skilled workers. Over six decades, we have grown to represent 3,600 member businesses nationwide, delivering industry-leading education programs that have trained nearly 16,000 professionals annually. Our mission centers on empowering merit shop members through advocacy, cutting-edge training, and fostering collaboration within the electrical industry. We provide critical resources including apprenticeship programs with 576 classroom hours and 8,000 on-the-job training hours, leadership development opportunities, and a robust network connecting 52 chapters across the United States. Our U.S.Department of Labor-certified apprenticeship curriculum is recognized as one of the nation's premier training tools, offering graduates 46 college credits through the American Council on Education. We maintain strong industry partnerships, including with ConX for labor sharing solutions and Federated for member benefits, while operating 53 campuses nationwide.
