Our History

Systech Environmental Corporation was established more than 40 years ago by four engineers as an environmental engineering consulting firm. In 1982, Systech launched its first co-processing operation in Paulding, Ohio, utilizing liquid industrial by-products as supplemental fuel in cement kilns. As by-product disposal became increasingly regulated, several more kiln facilities adopted this technology. Over the years, Systech added and managed co-processing operations at multiple locations across the United States. Systech eventually became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lafarge North America Inc., one of the largest producers of portland cement in North America. Today, Systech, and its sister company Geocycle, are affiliates of LafargeHolcim, a world leader in the building materials industry. Together, Systech and Geocycle continue the legacy of co-processing by-products and waste materials at 22 cement kilns across North America.
