Bratwurst Festival

Welcome to the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival, where tradition meets fun and delicious food! We are a family-friendly event that has been celebrating our German heritage for over 50 years. Our festival is held annually on the third weekend of August in downtown Bucyrus, Ohio. We are the only festival in Ohio that holds a parade each night and have earned the title of "Ohio's Eatingest Festival."

Our theme for this year is "Brattie Supports our First Responders!" We want to show our appreciation for the hardworking men and women who keep our community safe. This year, we're focusing on raising money for local first responders, and we're excited to have you join us in this celebration.

Our festival began in 1967 as the "Colonel Crawford Days, " and since then, it has grown into a beloved event that attracts over 100,000 visitors each year. We are proud to offer a variety of activities, contests, parades, and of course, plenty of delicious bratwurst! Our brats are perfected by local butchers whose families emigrated here from Germany, making them a true taste sensation.

We believe that our festival is not just about the food, but about the people who come together to enjoy it. That's why we offer a range of activities to keep all ages entertained, from daily parades and contests to an art and craft show, rides, games, and a stein auction. Plus, thanks to our generous sponsors, we have plenty of free live entertainment for you to enjoy.
