Lanigan Storage and Van was founded by Edward J. Lanigan, Jr. in 1955 in Memphis, TN, and has since been providing exceptional moving services to the community. As a continuous interstate moving agent for Allied Van Lines since its inception, Lanigan has built a strong reputation as a reliable and efficient Memphis-based mover. The company has been proudly serving the Memphis community for over 68 years and has been recognized as one of the top Memphis moving companies.

The company's founder, Edward Lanigan, served as owner and president until his death in 1971. His sons, Edward "Jay" Lanigan and Dick Lanigan, assumed the ownership of the company until Dick's retirement in 2000 and Jay's death in 2007. With the death of Jay Lanigan, his wife, Lynn, assumed the role of president until her retirement in July 2015. The company has been qualified as a Woman Business Enterprise since 2007 and continues to serve the Memphis community as a leading mover and packer.

In July 2015, the company was purchased by long-time Memphis employees Mitzi Lyne, President, Shannon Hollingsworth, Director/Shareholder, John Lyne, Vice President/Operations, and Rodney Hollingsworth, CFO. With Mitzi Lyne and Shannon Hollingsworth as majority owners, Lanigan hopes to continue to service the Memphis community as a qualified Woman Business Enterprise and leading Memphis mover and packer.
