About Us

The Pajaro Valley Fire Protection District (PVFPD) serves the rural community of approximately 18,000 people in Santa Cruz County, California. Covering over 52 square miles, the district encompasses both incorporated and unincorporated areas surrounding the City of Watsonville. Our dedicated team of firefighters and staff respond to over 1,600 calls per year, responding to emergencies like fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, and hazardous situations.
