His extensive experience includes involvement in the first case at the trial level in which D.N.A. was admitted as evidence in State v. Redding (1987).

R. Stephen Roberts was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1977 and has been practicing law for over 40 years. He earned his J.D. from Atlanta Law School in 1977 and his B.A. from Georgia State University in 1973. Mr. Roberts has held various professional positions, including Associate Magistrate Court Judge in DeKalb County, Associate Attorney at Rich, Bass, Kidd & Witcher, Assistant District Attorney and Chief Assistant District Attorney in DeKalb County, and Partner at Garland, Samuel & Loeb.
