Headleys Auctions is a family-owned and operated business that has been a staple in the antique and auction industry since 1945. Our story began in 1921 when the Headley family started selling and restoring antiques for the mid-Atlantic market. As time went on, handmade reproductions became a part of our offerings, and we began holding regular auctions in 1945. Over the years, we have specialized in American antiques, but our extensive knowledge and experience allow us to recognize valuable items from all origins.

Our passion for antiques is deeply rooted in the family, with both Joe Headley Sr. and Joe Headley Jr. growing up helping with the sales and spending many years restoring antique furniture. They have acquired extensive knowledge of furniture age and construction, which they use to provide guidance on all aspects of the auctions.

At Headleys Auctions, we are committed to giving special attention to antiques at all levels of value, so our customers and their families can enjoy them for years to come. We are located in the historic Shenandoah Valley, outside Winchester, Virginia, and 65 miles west of Washington, D.C. Our auction services include both online-only auctions and live auctions.

• Advertising: We will advertise your items across multiple websites with item images and descriptions, ensuring they reach a broad audience.
• Preview: We will display the items on preview the day before the auction, giving potential buyers a chance to inspect and appreciate them.

Location

We are located in the historic Shenandoah Valley, outside Winchester, Virginia, and 65 miles west of Washington, D.C. Our regular, monthly auctions are held at the Ruritan Building at Clarke County Fairgrounds, 890 W Main St, Berryville, VA. However, due to the current situation, all auctions are being held online only.
