Who We Are: Our Story

Seger Funeral Home has been a cornerstone of the Atkinson and Stuart communities since its inception in 1941. Founded by Leo F. Seger, the funeral home was first located in the A.T. Hart building before moving to its current location in 1956. Over the years, Seger Funeral Home has been passed down through the generations, with each successive Seger bringing their own unique perspective and dedication to the family business. Today, the funeral home is owned and operated by Leo P. Seger, the third generation of Segers to serve the community.

Our Staff

Seger Funeral Home is proud to have a team of experienced and compassionate professionals who are dedicated to providing the highest level of service to every family they serve. Our staff includes three licensed embalmers, Leo P. Seger, Paul F. Seger, and Darrel D. Leisy, as well as a dedicated secretary, Patricia J. Skrdla. Together, our staff members work tirelessly to ensure that every funeral or memorial service is a fitting tribute to the life that has been lived.

Our Locations

Seger Funeral Home has two convenient locations in Atkinson and Stuart, Nebraska. Our Atkinson location is located at 302 W State Street, and our Stuart location is at 202 E. 2nd St. Both locations are handicap accessible and are designed to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for families and friends gathering to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one.
