Negative Experiences
The author, David M. Zeh, reported a disappointing experience with Bekins/Maffucci Moving and Storage. He received a quote of $8,050, but the company claimed that he used that quote to move out of his house and asked for additional funds. When he declined, they billed his account an additional $2,000 and $3,700 without authorization.
Sara Elizabeth Fero had a similar issue, where the company quoted her 11k but the final cost was 18k. She accused them of being shady and stated that they lied to get a contract.
Cynthia Rubino reported that Bekins moving and storage lost many boxes and damaged the ones they delivered. She believed that the missing boxes were taken by the movers.
