Our journey began over 11 years ago, when our founder, Diana Schoonewolff, discovered her passion for design and a knack for florals. Since then, we've grown into a team of go-getters who are fueled by creativity, love for "cafecito, " and a shared passion for bringing people together. Our team includes experts in the field, each with their own unique experiences and perspectives that shape our work.

Our story is a testament to the power of resilience and determination. Many of us come from families who fled Cuba's dictatorship, and those experiences have defined our characters and influenced our work. Meet the Team

Our team is the heart and soul of Gather & Bloom. Each member brings their own unique energy and expertise to the table, making us a dynamic and creative force to be reckoned with.

Diana Schoonewolff, our Bridal Consultant & Designer, loves all her children, but she really gets a kick out of themed events and the detail that goes with the theme. Her favorite type of event to plan is weddings, and she is all about eclectic modern style. She can be described as WOO, Activator, and Ideation, and her spirit animal is a bee - small yet can achieve so much, but knows how to enjoy the sweet things in life. She would eat sushi for the rest of her life and her favorite flower is the butterfly ranunculus.

Rene Blanco, our Lead Floral Designer, is passionate about weddings because they are a special celebration between two individuals that they'll remember forever. He is all about artistic, lively, and animated designs, and his favorite flower is the anemone maritima.

Maritza Guillen, our Assistant Designer, is a fan of love and that is what weddings are all about! She loves vintage and rustic styles and is honest, hard-working, and congenial. Her favorite food is Cuban picadillo and rice, her spirit animal is a dog, and her favorite place is Costa Rica. Her favorite flower is the black prince rose.

Michelle Ocumarez, our Associate Event Stylist, is also a fan of love and that is what weddings are all about! She loves eclectic modern style and is lively, hard-working, and animated. Her favorite food is sushi, her spirit animal is a lion, and her favorite place is Egypt and Spain. Her favorite flower is the garden lion.
