Our Story

Plastic Express was founded in 1970 by Ray "Jr." Kurtz after he fulfilled his Army enlistment. The company started as a small operation hauling PVC pipe and fittings throughout the southwest. In 1975, we purchased our first self-loading pneumatic bulk unit, officially entering the plastic bulk transportation business. Over the years, we expanded our services to include bulk terminals, packaging, and warehousing. We branched out to new locations across the United States, establishing terminals and operations in Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, and more. Our growth was marked by strategic partnerships and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations. Today, we are the largest Veteran Owned and Operated logistics company in the U.S., headquartered in Houston.
