The Coffee Bar

The Coffee Bar, affectionately known to locals and regulars as TCB, has been a staple in the Shaw and Golden Triangle neighborhoods since its inception in 2012. Founded by Cait Lowry, the mission was to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where people could gather to enjoy delicious coffee. With a focus on community, TCB has become a fixture in Washington, DC, offering a welcoming space for everyone.

Our Coffee

At TCB, we believe that caffeine is its own food group. We proudly serve coffee from a variety of roasters across the country, ensuring a diverse selection for our diverse city. Our menu features classic espresso drinks alongside some surprise signature beverages. For those who don't drink coffee, we have offerings too. We're all about keeping things fresh by providing seasonal offerings from our select roasters.

Our Roasters

We're fortunate to have great partnerships with our primary roasters. We source our coffee from talented roasters on both coasts, ensuring a rich variety for our customers. Our roasters include Ceremony Coffee Roasters, Verve, Onyx, and Bespoken Coffee Roasters, each offering unique characteristics and flavors. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just discovering your love for coffee, we have something for everyone.

Locations

TCB has two locations in Washington, DC. Our first location is nestled in the Historic U Street/Logan Circle/Shaw area, with a second location in the Golden Triangle District. Both offer the same warm and inviting atmosphere, making you feel like a regular from your very first visit.
