I am a Board Certified Clinical Psychologist with a specialization in video-based therapy. I have been in private practice since 1983, providing a variety of professional services to individuals, schools, and other organizations. My approach is evidence-informed and integrative, drawing on my extensive training and experience to deliver personalized care that meets the unique needs of each client.
I am licensed to practice in multiple states and am an Advanced Telebehavioral Health Practitioner, certified by the PSYPACT Commission. I specialize in videoconference-based psychotherapy, also known as telepsychology, telemental health, or telebehavioral health, which I refer to as Video Visits. This approach allows for flexibility and convenience, enabling clients to have therapy sessions from the comfort of their own home or other private location.
My services are suitable for older children, adolescents, and adults, and include individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, stress management counseling, and alcohol and drug counseling. I also provide psychological assessment, consultative evaluations, and consultations to schools and organizations. All services can be provided in the office or via approved teletherapy methods, such as secure videoconferencing.
The Video Visit Option
I specialize in offering video-based therapy through secure HIPAA Compliant videoconferencing. This approach, which has been called telepsychology, telemental health, or telebehavioral health, provides a way for clients to interact with their therapist in real time from any private location. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and convenience of this approach, as it eliminates many of the barriers to treatment, such as bad weather, babysitter availability, and commuting time.
Research supports the clinical effectiveness and client satisfaction with video-based therapy for many, though not all, clinical conditions or personal problems. However, some clients may still prefer the traditional in-person experience in a comfortable office setting. During our initial discussions, we can determine whether video-based therapy is the right approach for your needs.
