Our Story

J.M. Fastener World is a third-generation, family-owned business deeply rooted in the fastener industry. Our roots stretch back to the 1950s when our grandfather, Joseph "Pop" Monaco Sr., began his journey in New York City. From his early days, our family learned the intricacies of fasteners, with our father, Joseph Monaco Jr., gaining valuable experience in the shipping and receiving department during his teenage years. This initial exposure to the world of fasteners laid the foundation for our future success.

Years later, the Monaco family migrated to South Florida, eventually settling in Boynton Beach. In 1980, Joseph Sr. opened his first fastener business, J.M. Fasteners. Meanwhile, James & Bonnie Monaco (Joseph Jr.'s brother and sister-in-law), had made their way to Lakeland in the early 1970s, where Joseph Jr. continued his work in the industry, selling fasteners to mobile home manufacturers. From there, he established J.M. Fastener World out of their garage in 1987.

As both companies flourished, Joseph Sr. decided to retire in the early 1990s, leading to a strategic merger that shaped J.M. Fastener World into the powerhouse it is today. James and Jason, Joe Jr.'s sons, joined the company directly after high school, eagerly absorbing the knowledge and experience passed down through generations. After their parents officially retired, James and Jason proudly took the helm, leading the company through a period of remarkable growth and expansion. Driven by their commitment to exceptional service, they broadened the product range beyond fasteners, aiming to provide a comprehensive solution for their customers' needs.
