Our History
The Van Dickson Ranch has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s. The ranch was originally homesteaded by James Van Dickson, a rancher and world-class rodeo champion, who married a school teacher named Pearl in 1900. In 1999, Paul and Carolyn Harris bought the ranch and revived the polo field that was once used by Will Rogers. Today, the ranch is a popular venue for ranch and destination weddings, and we are proud to continue the legacy of James Van Dickson.
