Why Squint When You Can Tint!
Serenity Mental Health Services is a professional counseling service dedicated to helping individuals plan their journey to serenity. Our services are designed to balance spiritual, physical, financial, and emotional fitness. We believe that mental health is an essential component of overall well-being, and we are committed to helping our clients achieve their personal and professional goals.
Our counseling services are based on the theories of Alfred Adler and Carl Jung, as well as the life experiences of Jesus Christ. We believe that the process of spiritual transitioning, as described by Jung and Adler, can lead to personal growth and improved mental health. Our counselors use powerfully the images and symbols of Christianity, but not in a dogmatic way. We welcome clients of all faiths and backgrounds.
Serenity Mental Health Services is owned and operated by Diana Smith, PhD, LPC-MH. Dr. Smith is a licensed counselor and a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and the American Counseling Association. She is an APA EMDR approved Therapist in Training and is currently on sabbatical, writing a book based on her research and clinical process of the lived experience of self-forgiveness and updating her treatment program that focuses on treating anxiety and depression with EMDR and self-forgiveness protocol.

Nature of Counseling
Counseling is the application of mental health, psychological, or human development principles, through cognitive, affective, behavioral or systemic intervention strategies, that address wellness, personal growth, or career development, as well as pathology. Depending on the needs of the client and the availability of services, counseling may range from a few brief interactions in a short period of time, to numerous interactions over an extended period of time. Brief interventions, such as classroom discussions, workshop presentations, and letters, can be effective in some cases.
