My parents owned a flower shop in the San Francisco area, so needless to say, I have been arranging flowers for a long time. Thinking my floral career would be put on hold after we moved to Bainbridge Island, I sold all my floral supplies to a flower buddy. With encouragement from family and friends, I once again started my own floral design firm, Melanie Benson Floral. I started with wedding flowers and now my business has grown to include other occasions such as holidays and personal celebrations.

My style is always evolving through education and my own keen interest in cut flowers or expanding my garden. I thoroughly enjoy a trip to the wholesale market where I select flowers by color, texture, and uniqueness. It is always worth a ferry ride to be among such beautiful fresh blooms. Whether your occasion is a wedding, a birthday, or just a bouquet for a loved one, we would be happy to deliver flowers for any occasion.

Custom Wedding Flowers

For custom weddings, we put our heads together and come up with a plan that fulfills all your desires. Together, we design a ceremony and reception that includes containers, flowers, colors, style, candles, accents, linen, and every decor detail you might need to bring a total look together. We deliver your flowers, then we place the flowers, build the arbors, style the tables, and at the end of the evening, our team packs up our items, leaving the space as we found it. Some of our weddings are quite large, but a smaller wedding is just as important to us. You can expect to spend a minimum of $2,000 with an average wedding flower cost being $4,000-$5,000 or more. Consultations are always complementary.
