Our Music Instructor: Rebecca Wilson

Rebecca Wilson is our dedicated music instructor, with 25 years of experience teaching students of all ages. Rebecca's teaching style is fun and engaging, providing her students with a solid foundation of basic music skills while nurturing a love of music that will last a lifetime. She has extensive experience teaching in various settings, including private lessons, university-level instruction, and summer programs.

Rebecca received her Bachelor of Music degree in bassoon performance from the esteemed Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, and a Master's degree in Music Education from Boston University. She is currently a substitute bassoonist for the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra and the University-Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra at Washington & Lee University. Rebecca's versatile musical talents extend beyond classical music, as she also plays flute with the Roanoke Celtic Band "Second Wynde."

Our piano lessons cater to students from the age of 5 and up, and our bassoon lessons are suitable for students at the intermediate and advanced levels. With a variety of lesson plans and materials, we aim to keep students motivated and inspired to learn and grow as musicians.
