At Joy of Music Program (JOMP), we believe that music is a fundamental part of our humanity. It has the power to bring people together, to heal, to inspire, and to bring joy. Our mission is to create a community through joyful music learning and performance, where everyone is welcome and included.

Our Story

JOMP was founded in 1986 by Wendy Webster Ardizzone, who envisioned a musical community reflective of the diversity of the greater Worcester area. Since then, we have grown to become one of the largest and most respected music education programs in the region. With a talented and dedicated faculty of over 40 musician educators, we offer a wide range of music programs and classes for students of all ages and skill levels.

Our Programs

At JOMP, we offer a variety of programs and services designed to meet the needs of our diverse student body. Our programs include:

  • Private Lessons: Talented and dedicated music faculty caring for students, providing personalized instruction and guidance.
  • Classes for Children: Get a JOMP Start in music exploration for beginners, with classes and workshops designed for young children.
  • Ensembles & Workshops: Making music with others, including orchestra, chorus, jazz groups, rock band, drumming, and more.
  • Summer Lessons & Classes: A time to play and explore music in a fun and interactive way.
