Northland Counseling Center (NCC) is a mental health service provider committed to fostering recovery and promoting wellness within communities. With locations spread across International Falls, Hibbing, Grand Rapids, and Kiesler Wellness Center, NCC has been serving individuals and families with diverse backgrounds and needs for several years. Our dedicated team of mental health professionals works tirelessly to ensure that every person has access to essential mental health services, regardless of their ability to pay, race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, or sexual orientation.

Out-Patient Mental Health Services

NCC offers comprehensive out-patient mental health services designed to meet the unique needs of individuals across all age groups. These services include diagnostic assessments, medication management, and individual, family, couples, and group therapy sessions. Our skilled clinicians use evidence-based treatment approaches and collaborate with clients to create personalized mental health plans that promote healing, growth, and resilience.

Housing Services

Through our Housing Support Programs, NCC addresses the housing needs of Itasca County residents who have a mental illness and are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to help these individuals obtain and maintain safe, affordable housing, thereby promoting stability and overall well-being.

Children & Adolescents Services

NCC recognizes that children and adolescents require specialized mental health support to help them navigate the unique challenges they face. Our array of services for this age group focuses on teaching additional mental health coping skills that enable young individuals to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and improve overall well-being.

Club House Services

Our Club House Programs, including Aitkin Resource Center, Kiesler Wellness Center, and Hardwig House, serve as walk-in points of access for community members impacted by mental illness. These programs provide a variety of resources and activities that encourage wellness and foster social connections.

Adult Community Support Services

For adults diagnosed with mental illness and in need of additional support in their recovery journey, NCC offers various programs tailored to their unique needs. These services empower adults to develop essential life skills, build resilience, and actively contribute to their communities.

Northland Recovery Center

Northland Recovery Center, Inc., an affiliate of NCC, offers in-and out-patient services to help individuals with substance use recovery. Our holistic, evidence-based approach addresses the complex needs of men and women seeking recovery and supports them in reclaiming their lives.

Accessibility and Insurance

NCC is committed to providing essential mental health services to everyone, regardless of their financial situation or insurance status. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, private, and CHIP insurance, and offer sliding fee scale discounts based on household income and size. Our team is dedicated to assisting clients in determining their insurance eligibility and accessing necessary mental health services.
