Our Story

Ernie's Carpets & Vinyl was founded by Ernie, a hardworking immigrant from Honduras who came to the USA at the age of 17. Ernie started his career in the flooring industry as a helper for a carpet installer and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a flooring mechanic and opening his first retail store in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Over the years, Ernie has honed his skills and knowledge, becoming a respected and experienced business owner. Today, Ernie is proud to work alongside his son, Ernesto Jr., who is learning the ins and outs of the business and sharing his father's passion for flooring.
