Sims Physical Therapy

Sims Physical Therapy, Inc. has been a trusted provider of orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine services on the central coast for over 20 years. Our mission is to provide the highest level of care in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. We are dedicated to creating a caring environment for our patients, which leads to consistent attendance in therapy and better outcomes from therapy interventions. Our team has developed strong relationships with local physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

Our Staff

At Sims Physical Therapy, our team of professionals includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and Certified Massage Therapists. Our staff members are highly trained and experienced in their respective fields, and they participate in interdisciplinary, bi-monthly meetings to review patient treatment plans, goals, and therapy progress. This collaborative approach helps ensure better quality of care and maximizes therapeutic benefit from allotted or prescribed treatment sessions.

At Sims Physical Therapy, we offer a range of services tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients:

*Sports Injury Rehab*

We treat all types of sports injuries at Sims Physical Therapy. Our team is experienced in working with both recreational and competitive athletes, and we are committed to helping you restore function and return to your sport.

*Manual Therapy*

Manual therapy is a hands-on approach to treating soft tissue and joint structures. Our therapists utilize specific techniques, including manipulation and mobilization, to diagnose and treat injuries, reduce pain, increase range of motion, and decrease soft tissue inflammation.

*Kinesio Taping*

Kinesio Taping Method is a therapeutic taping technique used to treat orthopedic injuries. This method can help reduce pain, enhance muscle performance, prevent injury, and promote good circulation and healing.

*SwimEx Therapy Pool*

Our heated therapeutic pool offers a non-weight-bearing and early weight-bearing exercise option for patients with a variety of diagnoses, such as spine and pre- and post-surgical bone, joint, and soft tissue rehabilitation.

*Hand Therapy*

Sims Physical Therapy has a state-of-the-art hand clinic equipped to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment methods for pre-op and post-op injuries of the elbow, wrist, and hand. Our Occupational Therapist has advanced credentialing in hand therapy and physical agent modalities.

We accept various insurance types, including PPO, HMO, workers' compensation, and auto accident claims. Our clinic is open Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12-1 pm.
