Empowering Innovative Organizations

Our History

At Redwood Parents Nursery School (RPNS), we have been dedicated to providing a high-quality early childhood education since 1952. Our non-profit, parent-education, cooperative preschool in Redwood City is designed to foster a love for learning in children from diverse backgrounds. Our experienced and passionate educators strive to create a nurturing environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.

Our Philosophy

We believe that young children learn best through play and hands-on experiences. Our curriculum is designed to provide a broad selection of hands-on activities and materials, allowing children to develop their cognitive, social, and emotional skills. We also prioritize parent involvement, recognizing the importance of parent-child relationships in shaping a child's early years.

Our Programs

We offer several programs tailored to meet the unique needs of children aged 13 months to 6 years old. These programs include:

Toddler Preschool Class

Our toddler program is designed for children aged 13-23 months. The program is designed to provide a nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Parents participate actively in the classroom, taking various responsibilities in turn, such as snack time, art, or housekeeping. The program is designed to promote social and emotional development, as well as cognitive growth.

Twos Preschool Class

Our twos program is designed for children aged 2 years old. The program is designed to provide a more structured environment, with a focus on social and emotional development. Parents work in the classroom one day a week, taking on various responsibilities in turn. The program is designed to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Mixed Ages 3's & 4's Preschool Class

Our mixed ages 3's and 4's program is designed for children aged 3 and 4 years old. The program is designed to provide a more structured environment, with a focus on social, emotional, and cognitive development. Parents work in the classroom one day a week, taking on various responsibilities in turn. The program is designed to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth, as well as kindergarten readiness.

Parent Involvement

At RPNS, we recognize the importance of parent involvement in children's early years. Parents are encouraged to participate actively in the classroom, taking on various responsibilities in turn. We also prioritize parent education, providing regular workshops and training sessions to support parents in their role as primary caregivers.
