Train Your Body, Transform Your Mind

The name Trinity is derived from the "Top Three" - the three primary categories of martial arts: Striking, Grappling, and Weapons. At Trinity Martial Arts, we provide our students with a comprehensive foundational belt ranking system that progressively incorporates more challenging techniques and mental requirements. Our students have the unique opportunity to learn Tae Kwon Do, Arnis, and Jiu Jitsu simultaneously.

Trinity Martial Arts is a locally owned and operated business by Chris Aprecio and his wife, Tiffany Aprecio. With over 20 years of experience teaching self-defense and martial arts to thousands of Washington residents, including those in Sammamish Plateau, Overlake, Lake Stevens, Arlington, and Redmond, Sa Bu Nim Aprecio has been passionate about martial arts since the age of 5, and by 15, his life's mission was to influence others through his teaching. As Redmond locals, the Aprecio's take pride in being part of this great community. Our school is family-oriented, focusing on teaching Tae Kwon Do and Arnis, a Filipino Stick Fighting Art. Our curriculum is designed to be progressive, challenging students both physically and mentally. Our goal is to help our students become physically better at martial arts while internally strengthening their minds and character in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Philosophy

At Trinity Martial Arts, we believe in building confidence and self-assurance in our students through goal-setting and achievement. We emphasize skills that leaders require, such as positivity, strategic thinking, reliability, and more. Our program promotes a "can-do" attitude of tenacity in our students as they train through the challenges encountered on the path to black belt level. We also focus on adaptability, teaching students multiple techniques and how to apply them appropriately in various circumstances. Additionally, we instill a sense of respect in our students, teaching them to respect themselves, their instructors, training partners, family members, and everyone in their community.

Fitness and Health

Our students build endurance and maintain focus by incorporating strength and cardio into their forms and kicks. We believe that physical fitness and mental strength go hand-in-hand, and we strive to provide our students with the tools they need to achieve both. Our program promotes overall health and well-being, helping our students become stronger and more confident in all aspects of their lives.

Community

Our school represents only half of what we teach. The more important half is our community of students, without whom we would not exist. Redmond Ridge & Redmond Ridge East, as well as their surrounding neighborhoods, have brought together a diverse group of people with a common goal; to better children's lives through education, sports, and the arts. We believe that an academic education is only one aspect of a well-grounded individual, and we strive to provide our students with a comprehensive education that includes mental, emotional, and physical development.

Triumphs & Triumphant Defeats

We all know there is a right way to win. However, there are also many ways to lose. True strength is shown after we win, when we shake the hand of our opponent, thanking them for their participation. A different kind of strength is losing and shaking the hand of the winner. Studies have shown that kids who have experienced the thrilling high of winning, as well as the bottomless low of losing, develop the ability to recognize and avoid self-destructive behaviors. This coping mechanism serves them well in dealing with losses later in life.

Our "Real" Competition

Our competition is composed of megacorporations that want to entertain through violence and conflict. At Trinity Martial Arts, we believe in promoting peace, harmony, and respect. We teach our students the value of self-defense, not as a means to harm others, but as a tool to protect themselves and their loved ones. We believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle, mental and emotional well-being, and building a strong community of students who share the same values.
