At Curran-Jones Funeral Home, we are proud to be a family-owned and operated business, serving the West Springfield and Agawam communities for over three generations. Our story began in 1930 when P. Joseph Curran, an insurance salesman, decided to start a funeral home in West Springfield. He partnered with Luther White to form the White-Curran Funeral Home in the old Dr. Steele Homestead on Westfield Street. As the business grew, we outgrew our first location and moved to a larger property on Union Street & Park Street, where we formed the Curran Funeral Home.

In 1939, we purchased the Ely-Worthy Mansion for $7,006.62 and joined with our friend Ernie B. Jones to become Curran-Jones Funeral Home. Our staff consisted of P. Joseph Curran, Ernie Jones, and Bernie Smith. Over the years, we have continued to expand and improve our facilities, adding two rear chapels in 1955 to accommodate more visiting hours and funeral services.

Today, we take great pride in our community and strive to offer the most immaculate, modern, and conveniently located funeral home facilities. We are honored to be the only family-owned funeral home in West Springfield and are committed to providing personalized service and attention to detail to every family we serve. Our family and staff have three generations of funeral experience, ensuring that we can fulfill any request you may have.
