Company History

The story of Perman Engineering began in 1994 when Eddie Perman, after many years of experience in the engineering field, decided to start his own company. Perman initially operated as a home office, with Eddie focusing on civil engineering and land surveying. In 1999, the company moved into a new office located in the Rainbow City Deerfoot Industrial Park. This expansion allowed Perman to bring on additional staff, further solidifying its position as a trusted player in the real estate development industry.

In 2008, the company expanded into real estate development, acquiring and developing several parcels. Trey Perman joined the firm two years later, becoming the first controller. In 2011, Perman added a General Construction division and began developing, engineering, and building retail, office, and industrial properties across the United States. In 2013, Tanner Perman came on board as a civil engineer, bringing new technology and expertise to the company. Over the years, Perman has continued to expand and evolve, all while maintaining a commitment to providing personalized service for each client.

Eddie Perman JR., PE, PLS - Principal Civil Engineer / President

With over 25 years of experience as a professional engineer and surveyor, Eddie Perman brings valuable expertise to every project. He is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, and West Virginia, and a licensed surveyor in Alabama and Georgia. Eddie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His deep understanding of Industrial and Commercial facility design, as well as his ability to foresee potential construction delays, make him an essential member of the team.

Trey Perman - Controller / Real Estate Developer

Trey Perman holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in accounting and finance from Jacksonville State University. As Perman's controller and lead real estate developer, he employs his financial expertise and real estate knowledge to oversee all aspects of the company's real estate projects. Trey also holds an Alabama Real Estate Broker's License and a pilot's license.

Tanner Perman - Civil Engineer

Tanner Perman, who joined the team in 2013, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With over 10 years of experience in the surveying and engineering field, Tanner has brought cutting-edge technology to Perman, utilizing LEICA surveying equipment and drones for projects. His expertise and technology skills have been instrumental in the success of Perman's retail, office, and industrial developments.

Tabathia Pritchett - Construction Project Manager

Tabathia Pritchett joined Perman as a construction project manager in 2017. With a background in project management and business administration, Tabathia oversees all aspects of Perman's construction projects, ensuring successful completion and client satisfaction.
