Prolawn & Pest Control

Prolawn and Pest Control was established in 1995, bringing with it 25 years of experience from the University of Missouri. Our team is equipped with degrees from the Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, and Park Recreation and Tourism Departments, ensuring that we have the knowledge and expertise to handle all of your lawn care and landscaping needs.

Our division managers all hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and our owner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and a Master of Science in Park Management. Their graduate work focused on the use of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides in shade trees, turf, and ornamentals. This background, combined with their experience working for Entomology research labs and lawn chemical companies, makes Prolawn and Pest Control uniquely qualified to provide top-notch services.

The Homeowner Helpers

In addition to our professional services, we also offer advice for homeowners who want to maintain their own lawns. We recommend mowing your lawn weekly and never cutting more than 1/3rd of the total plant. This reduces thatch and promotes healthy growth. It's also important to water your lawn during dry spells and to keep it clean and free of debris. Over-shading your lawn can also be a problem, so make sure to trim trees and shrubs as needed.

Our Landscaping Services

In addition to our lawn care services, we also offer a full range of landscaping services. We can handle everything from brick patios and small retaining walls to plantings, trimming, and mulching.
