Our Story

At Solar Generation, we take pride in our roots in the Hudson Valley, New York. Our founders, Todd and Jason, sought to capture the independent, creative spirit of the region by delivering bespoke first-class solar installations while helping the environment. Our current president, Paul McMenemy, carries on this legacy forward into the next decade and beyond.

Our goal at Solar Generation is to make going solar seamless and affordable for our clients. We're committed to making a positive impact on our community through local and global goodwill projects, as well as solar farm project developments within the Hudson Valley.

Our team is dedicated to designing and installing high-quality solar electric systems that power homes, businesses, and nonprofits in the Hudson Valley.

Meet Our Leadership

• CEO, Paul McMenemy: With over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, Paul has developed a broad range of skills in project development, construction, and operations. Prior to joining Solar Generation, Paul worked on various projects across North America, including the development of a $30 million bio-energy facility in Ontario.
• President & Chief Operating Officer, Zachary Schrowang: A Hudson Valley native, Zach has diversified knowledge and experience in renewable energy projects. In addition to his work at Solar Generation, Zach has dedicated time to work on projects in Haiti, providing local communities with electricity and training on solar installation.
• Vice President of Project Development, Brendan Boland: A local resident, Brendan has a strong interest in power generation and sustainability. Prior to joining Solar Generation, he worked in various roles, including as an installer.
• Sales Representative, Richard Countryman: A native of the Hudson Valley, Richard comes from a family with a long history in the renewable energy industry. He joined Solar Generation as an installer in 2016 and has played a leading role in building over 100 solar systems across the Hudson Valley and southern Catskills.
