Our mission is to provide a comprehensive range of services that support mental health and wellness in Tarrant County. We aim to provide resources, support, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness, while also fostering a community that promotes mental wellness and resilience. Services

We offer a range of services designed to support mental health and wellness, including:

  • LOSS Team: A joint effort of Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant County, MHMR of Tarrant County, and local police departments providing local outreach to suicide survivors. The purpose of the LOSS Team is to provide support and resources, as well as an installation of hope, to survivors as close to the time of their loss as possible.
  • Scholarships: We provide scholarships annually to Tarrant County students pursuing careers in the field of mental health and wellness. We believe that investing in the education and development of future mental health professionals is essential for promoting mental wellness in our community.
  • Advocacy: We advocate for the rights and needs of individuals and families affected by mental illness, working to create a more supportive and inclusive community.
  • Mental Health Screening: We offer mental health screening services to identify early warning signs of mental illness and provide referrals to necessary resources and support.
  • Survivors of Suicide Group: We provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide, offering a 8-week closed grief group.
  • Upcoming Group Healing After Suicide: A closed grief group that meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month.
  • Community Events: We organize community events, such as the Mental Health Matters Luncheon, the Run for Life 5k, and Pinatas and Peppers, to raise awareness and funds for mental health services.
