Our Story

At Hampton Roads Winery, we are passionate about creating a unique and memorable experience for all who visit us. Our journey began about 16 years ago, when Diane and I were discussing our life after retirement. We considered many options, but ultimately decided to set up a vineyard-winery. After looking at several locations, we found the perfect spot in Surry County, Virginia, and began planting our first vines in 2008. Today, we are proud to offer a variety of wines, wine tastings, and a range of events that cater to all tastes and occasions.

Wine Tastings & Relaxation

Our winery is open Thursday through Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering wine tastings by the flight, glass, or bottle. You are welcome to bring your own picnic and outside food, but please note that outside alcohol is not permitted. We also have a variety of small bites and snack items available for purchase. Whether you're looking to relax and unwind or enjoy a special occasion with friends and family, our winery is the perfect destination.

Private Events
