Where every horse and rider finds their perfect match

Cold Brook Stables is a family-owned and operated business nestled in the picturesque southeast Vermont. Our serene surroundings offer a perfect setting for horse enthusiasts to indulge in their passion. We provide a comprehensive range of services including boarding, training, and riding lessons. Our 180' x 100' outdoor arena hosts various events like horse shows, game days, trail challenges, and horsemanship clinics. Our 13-stall barn ensures a comfortable stay for your horse, with amenities like daily turnout, fresh water, and twice-daily feeding.

Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, our expert instructors offer personalized lessons to suit your needs and goals. We cater to riders of all ages and skill levels, from show ring to trail riding and everything in between. Both Western and English riding styles are taught, ensuring there's something for everyone. Our facilities also include miles of trails, an outdoor arena, and a round pen, providing ample opportunities for horseback riding.

In addition to our daily activities, we host various events throughout the year. The Annual Fall Trail Challenge is a highlight, featuring fun and challenging obstacles for both horse and rider. The event concludes with a home-cooked meal and awards for each division. We also have a series of game days, the "Belt Buckle Series, " which includes a "Jackpot Barrels" class with a $100 prize for the fastest rider. These events encourage riders to compete and earn points towards our year-end awards.

Our "Fun in the Sun" horse show is another popular event, offering divisions for youth, adult, green horse, and lead line. The summer also sees the introduction of a new Jackpot Cowboy Race, a timed obstacle course with cash payouts for division winners. These events provide a fun and engaging environment for horse enthusiasts to come together and enjoy their passion.
