Hamden Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is a 153-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility that has been serving the Hamden, Connecticut community and surrounding areas for over 35 years. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our residents, with a focus on enhancing their physical and emotional well-being. Our Services

At Hamden Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, we offer a full continuum of care to meet the needs of our residents. This includes:

• Short-Term Rehab: Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation program is designed to help our residents recover from surgery, illness, or injury and return home as quickly as possible. Our team of therapists provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as respiratory therapy, to help our residents regain their strength and independence.
• Long-Term Care: We provide 24-hour skilled nursing care for residents who require long-term care. Our team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants work together to provide compassionate care and attention to our residents.
• Secured Dementia Unit: Our 64-bed secured unit is dedicated to supporting those affected by Alzheimer's disease and other cognitive conditions. Our team of specially trained staff provides a safe and secure environment for our residents, while also offering activities and stimulation to help them maintain their cognitive and physical abilities.
• Respite Care: We offer short-term respite stays for those who need a temporary place to stay while their caregivers are away. Our respite care program provides all the same services as our long-term care program, in a warm and welcoming environment.

• Orthopedic Rehabilitation: Our team of therapists specializes in helping residents recover from joint replacement surgery, fractures, and other orthopedic injuries.
• Wound Care: We have a team of wound care specialists who provide advanced wound care treatment, including wound vac therapy and compression therapy.
• IV Therapy: Our team of nurses provides 24-hour IV therapy, including antibiotic therapy, hydration therapy, and pain management.
• Respiratory Therapy: Our team of respiratory therapists provides advanced respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and CPAP/BiPAP therapy.
• Pain Management: We have a team of pain management specialists who provide advanced pain management techniques, including medication management, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
• Stroke Rehabilitation: Our team of therapists specializes in helping residents recover from strokes, including speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
• Memory Care: Our team of specialists provides advanced memory care for residents with cognitive impairments, including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
