At Bean Counter Bakery Cafe, our story began in 1998 when our founder and owner, Alice Lombardi, started baking in her licensed kitchen at home. Her passion and dedication to creating delicious treats quickly gained her a loyal following in the local community. As her business grew, she expanded her operations to a cafe on Highland Street in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2001. Shortly after, she opened a second location in Shrewsbury, where she could focus on her renowned wedding cakes.
Our Journey
Alice's love for baking was sparked by her childhood, where she was inspired by the sweet treats her grandmother would make for her family gatherings.
