The Antiques Gallery of Sarasota was founded by Alan Amero, a native New Englander and second-generation antiques dealer, who moved to Sarasota in 1992. With a strong background in "wholesale to the trade" merchant, Alan brought a unique blend of expertise and hospitality to the antiques community of Sarasota. For over two decades, he has been a leading dealer of 18th to 20th century American and European antiques, supplying shops and auction houses along the eastern seaboard. His experience as a high-profile veteran of the monthly Don Scott Antiques Show in Atlanta also inspired him to create the gallery as a one-stop shop with a collaboration of specialty dealers catering to every lifestyle.
