Services
Parent-to-parent support
Our parent-to-parent support program connects families with trained peers who share similar experiences. This service provides emotional support, practical guidance, and shared knowledge about navigating mental health systems. Participants gain access to a network of understanding families while developing advocacy skills for their children's care.
Advocacy services
We offer direct advocacy support for families navigating educational and mental health systems. Our trained advocates attend meetings with parents, explain rights and responsibilities, and help develop effective communication strategies. This service focuses on ensuring children receive appropriate services through Individualized Education Programs and other support frameworks.
Mental health education
Our educational programs help families understand children's mental health needs and available resources. Through workshops and training sessions, participants learn about diagnosis-specific support strategies, treatment options, and crisis management techniques. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practices and family-centered care approaches.
Youth leadership training
This program empowers young adults with mental health experiences to develop leadership skills. Participants learn public speaking, advocacy techniques, and peer support methods through structured workshops. The training prepares youth to participate in policy discussions and mentor younger individuals facing similar challenges.
Support groups
We facilitate regular support group meetings for families across North Dakota. These gatherings provide safe spaces for sharing experiences, receiving emotional support, and learning coping strategies. Groups are organized by geographic regions and specific mental health needs to ensure relevant peer connections.
