Northwest Catholic High School

Welcome to Northwest Catholic High School, a private, Archdiocesan high school located in the beautiful town of West Hartford. We are a diverse, Catholic, co-ed, college preparatory community dedicated to educating the whole person - mind, body, spirit, and imagination. Our mission is to develop leaders who faithfully serve God and others, and we are committed to fostering a vibrant, diverse, academically-driven, service-oriented community.

Our Leadership Team

Our leadership team is comprised of dedicated individuals who are passionate about guiding our students on their academic and personal journey. From our school principal to our department heads, our team is committed to providing a supportive and challenging environment for all students. Each member of our leadership team brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to their role, and they are dedicated to helping our students reach their full potential.

Our Academic Programs

Northwest Catholic High School offers a wide range of academic programs designed to challenge and engage our students. Our curriculum includes departments such as English, Fine & Performing Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education & Wellness, Religion, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages. We also offer a variety of arts programs, including Music, Theater, and Visual Arts, as well as Learning Resource Center and Honor Societies for students who excel academically.

College Prep & Counseling

At Northwest Catholic, we understand the importance of preparing our students for their future. Our College Prep & Counseling program is designed to guide students through the college admissions process, from selecting colleges to submitting applications. Our experienced counselors work closely with students to help them find the best fit for their academic and personal goals.

The Arts

The arts are an integral part of the Northwest Catholic experience. Our Fine & Performing Arts department offers a variety of courses and extracurricular activities, including Music, Theater, and Visual Arts. Through these programs, students can explore their creativity, develop their skills, and express themselves in meaningful ways.

Athletics

Northwest Catholic is home to a robust athletics program, with teams competing in a variety of sports. Our coaching staff is dedicated to helping students develop their athletic skills while promoting values such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. We believe that participation in athletics can help students grow both physically and personally, and we offer opportunities for students of all skill levels to get involved.

Faith & Services

At Northwest Catholic, we believe that faith and service are essential components of a well-rounded education. Our Faith & Services program offers a variety of opportunities for students to deepen their faith and engage in meaningful service projects. From attending Mass and participating in ACTS retreats to volunteering in the community and participating in KAIROS service opportunities, we encourage our students to live out their faith in action.

Through our Advancement Team, we offer a variety of ways for alumni, parents, and friends to support our school and help us continue to provide a high-quality education to our students.
