Our Story
Our story began with J.H. Bechtold, who moved from Duluth, Minnesota to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to become the manager of Keating Jewelry. He later changed the name to Bechtold's Jewelry and also offered optometry services. Over the years, our store survived the Dust Bowl, the Depression, and World War II, eventually moving to its present location in 1947. Today, we're proud to continue the century-old tradition of quality jewelry and exceptional service.
Meet Our Team
Thomas and Kasia, the husband-and-wife owners of Thomas James & Bechtold Jewelry, have dedicated their business to the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Thomas, a master jeweler and hand engraver, brings his expertise in jewelry design, repair, and custom creation, while Kasia, with her background in economics, floral design, and seamstress work, adds a unique touch to the business. Together, they're committed to honoring the legacy of the Bechtold family while offering quality jewelry services, custom designs, and unique products to their customers.
