At The Village Gourmet, we are a catering company with a passion for creating unforgettable events. Our story began decades ago, when our founders, Wybe and Marietje Kroontje, Dutch immigrants who came to the United States after World War II, founded Warm Hearth Village, a nonprofit community dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Today, we are proud to be a part of the Warm Hearth Village family, located in Blacksburg, Virginia. Our elegant timber frame building, set amidst lush woodlands, offers a serene backdrop for your special day. Our Policies
At The Village Gourmet, we're committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring that your event is a success. Here are a few of our policies to keep in mind:
- All food and beverage items must be provided by The Village Gourmet and will be subject to a 5.3% Virginia sales tax, 4% Montgomery County meals tax, and a 20% service charge.
- All decorations must be approved prior to being put in the reception space. Glitter, confetti, poly-fill, and artificial snow are not allowed. Candles are permitted as long as they are contained and cannot come into contact with centerpieces, linen, or other flammable materials.
- Our facility sits on a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Please make all guests aware of this policy.
