Kodiak Combos, a cornerstone of Kodiak Island's fishing and hunting scene, has been delivering unforgettable adventures for over two decades. Founded by Jeff Peterson, a lifelong resident of Kodiak Island, the company was born out of a simple request - a visitor to Old Harbor wanted a taste of the island's world-class fishing before departing. Jeff, serving as a Village Public Safety Officer at the time, readily accommodated the request with his 15-foot Boston Whaler, a snapshot of the beginnings of a flourishing endeavor. Word of mouth quickly spread, drawing increasing requests for personalized fishing trips, culminating in a chance encounter that would further shape the company's trajectory. A letter addressed to the Old Harbor Postmaster, seeking the "best hunter in the village, " landed in Jeff's hands. The letter contained a detailed list of birds desired by a collector and their contact information. This serendipitous moment sparked a fateful connection, leading to a successful duck hunting trip and a feature story in Wildfowl magazine highlighting this unique Alaskan experience.

Jeff Peterson, the heart and soul of Kodiak Combos, is more than just a fisherman; he's a licensed and insured captain, a licensed big game transporter, and a licensed professional fishing guide. His credentials are further enriched by his registration as a migratory bird guide. With over thirty years of experience in the industry, he stands as one of the most experienced charter skippers on the island. Jeff's deep connection to Kodiak Island is unparalleled; he grew up on his father's fishing boat, captaining his first vessel at the tender age of thirteen. His unwavering commitment to punctuality and exceptional service reflects his background as a former US Marine.

Lianna Peterson, Jeff's partner, manages The Old Harbor Lodge, offering comfortable accommodations to guests during their stay. This waterfront property, meticulously remodeled in 2010, provides a welcoming sanctuary after a day of exciting expeditions.
